We were at the airport, where some greet hello with sparkly homemade signs, and others wave goodbye, reluctantly walking away from lines they cannot cross. I’ve recently noticed it is an emotionally confused place. Boy, I’ve felt all sorts of things waiting at the airport.
However, at this time, in this place, I felt a mix of emotions that were not mine. I peered into an elderly man’s face I did not know, and wondered how he would spend his drive home. I imagined the radio off, windshield wipers on, driving very carefully and maybe mumbling things to his self about what she reminded him to do once he got home.

Here’s the skinny:
We’ve been Facebook friends for… let’s just say, definitely longer than a year. Creepishly commenting on each other’s photos, posting random tid bits that I’m sure the rest of the world thought were normal, because they assumed we’ve been friends since pre-K. But we weren’t. We were internet friends. In our defense, we had mutual friends. And common interests. But from a state away, I thought to myself, Oh, I’d totally be in their T-Mobile fav 5… if they lived here, and had T-Mobile.

Remember the Delicious Couple?
After spending the day shooting their engagement session at Balboa Park in San Diego, I made my trek back to Orange County with Bon Iver serenading all the sweet moments they left in my mind. I sat there, on Super Bowl Sunday, in dreadful traffic, day dreaming about their story, and their future. I kept imagining what the coming years will look like for them, and I know this sounds silly, but I was thinking that this wouldn’t be the last Sunday we’d spend together.
