Oh friends, I’ve been thinking about a very special night for a very long time, both before it came and after it passed. My thoughts have often found themselves caught in reveries, that I recently dreamt into life. It seems that this one special night has consumed most of my favorite thoughts, ever since I can remember. I have often thought about where I’d be, how he’d say it, and what’d it mean: that is, the day he got on his knee, and asked me to be his wife.
I remember laying in my pink frilly bed as a little girl, nestled under my Little Mermaid sheets, dreaming in secret about the day [...]
Sometimes I’m a little over the top.
Proof: In Portland, I carried 3 cameras in my purse, at all times.
Weighing in at a ridiculous 12 pounds, my purse felt more like a chubby infant.
Among others things, the *sometimes* great Holga camera clanked about, swinging with my shoulder, to and fro.
Delivering a whopping 4 decent quality photos out of 16 taken, it is the most finicky camera known to mankind.
Ultra grainy exposures (on accident) this time around- but it adds an interesting texture. Kinda.
Did anyone else LOVE this game growing up? The ol’ fishin’ game, that spins in circles, with no sound effects? It’s ancient. And if you were born after 1990, I don’t expect you to think it’s even mildly cool.
It is a simple game, that I happen to still play with one of my little friends. Can’t deny it gets pretty competitive, because I’m not about to let a 6 year old champion it, or Hungry Hungry Hippo for that sake.
Well, we lost one of the little fish last week, and because my friend’s personality finds it difficult to play games with missing pieces (ahem, autism, we will defeat you), he [...]
The occasion was Life. Because sometimes I forget how to do it.
Drew has a pretty keen internal gauge on when I’m about to have one of these moments: “Hey Babe, I know I only have 6 weeks of school until I graduate, but I don’t think college is for everyone, and I’m pretty sure I’m happy with having most of my degree, Â and I just, I… I’m doing too much photography, so I’m going to sell my camera and actually just work at a hot-dog stand at the Angel Stadium, because I could totally survive on minimum wage if I just get rid of my iPhone. So, I’m going to [...]
It’s Thursday, but it feels like Frizday. Frizday is the day I made up that comes after Friday, but before the weekend.
It’s the epitome of the longest week ever. We’ve all had them.
Because it feels like Frizday, I decided to pump the breaks a bit. Do something for me, but something I can share. So, I started the day with an hour on the beach, reading the Word of God, and eating a banana nut muffin. I listened to the waves crash, kids compare whose sand-crab is bigger, and inhaled the West Coast wind as it gusted at its leisure. The ocean makes me feel free and blessed, so awake yet [...]
