Brittany & Stephen- Engagement Session

THE CATCH:

She’s extremely bright. She’s from Oregon, and Oregon obviously breeds cool people. She smiles like all the time. She wears cute stuff. She’s an extremely solid communicator. She knows what she wants. Her glass is half full. Her energy permeates a crowd. She loves Jesus, and hence, loves people even when they are hard to love. She has a good body. (What? She does). She is an incredible coffee date. (I know from experience, the Point Break cafe at Point Loma Nazarene University provided us ample amounts of caffeine and comfy couches for quality convo). She has a thirst for knowledge. She would totally look hot in an apron. She is a damn good listener. And all of these things make for a good wife.

As for Stephen, I don’t know him as well as I’d like, but I am sure of this– he’s a smart man. I think we can tell a lot about a man by the woman he chooses to marry. By using a person’s companion as a mirror for their heart, we can often learn a lot about his most personal desires. I see Stephen’s reflection in the woman he chose– a woman who loves passionately and who challenges lovingly. A strong woman like Brittany would only choose a fierce leader. She is a woman who daily yearns to be shepherded to her favorite learning place (the feet of Jesus) and then to her favorite resting place (the grace at the cross). The man who has committed himself to leading her to these places is one worthy of respect.

Stephen and Brittany, I am so grateful to have spent the day with you. I’m sorry I got pulled over for running a red light with you guys in the car. That was really embarrassing. But thanks for laughing at the cop with me and stuff. That made me feel a whole lot better. Anyways, love you two, and if you aren’t already counting, I am:

148 days until Man and Wife!
